The Division of Pharmacy Practice of the School of Pharmacy seeks to fill a 12-month position for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice with an emphasis in Community Practice.
Duquesne University's School of Pharmacy opened in 1925 with an enrollment of just 50 students in a few rooms of Canevin Hall. Today, the School of Pharmacy enrolls more than 1,000 students in its six-year Pharm.D. program, nearly 130 in its weekend program, 10 post-Pharm.D. fellows and residents, and 65 M.S. and Ph.D. students. Nearly 100 percent of Duquesne student pharmacists have gained immediate placement in employment and advanced studies for more than two decades and have been given preferred status by pharmacy employers.

REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:
Applicant must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy and administer injectables. The successful candidate should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy and have completed, at minimum, a PGY1 accredited residency program with a community focus. Board certification is preferred.
Responsibilities include didactic and clinical experiential teaching of Doctor of Pharmacy students and developing community pharmacy practice service at a local pharmacy in concert with the School of Pharmacy administration and the Director of Experiential Education. It is expected that a successful candidate will participate in scholarly activities to involve practice-based research with a focus on community practice and patient outcomes resulting in publications.
